Transfering Between Bank Offices from SA -> FT

Hey everyone, was hoping for some insight on the title. I'm an incoming SA 2023 with an offer at a non-NY branch at a bank. Now for the group I work in, the location is one of the top (i.e. SF for Tech or HC) but the recruiting process for the branch went before the rest of the bank (and my offer deadline expired before the NY office started recruiting). Now I really would like to stay within this coverage group, but for various reasons would like to switch to the NY office. Would this be possible? I have at least one or two analysts I know would pull for me, but am unsure on how to even approach this. Would it be similar to FT recruiting where I would have to re-interview or is it something I have to bring up to someone? Any insight would be appreciated.
