Trying to move from APAC > NY ?

Hi all.

Currently trading at a sell side bank bank and looking for a move over to NY. I've been religiously checking various job postings on bank websites, job boards, etc. and applying to everything that might suit. Basically looking for something in trading either on the sell side (FICC) or an execution trading role at a HF.

Even though I've sent out a heap of applications I'm a little lost.

I've done some googling around to try and find some to reach out to myself but with little luck as nobody's responded, I've emailed 3 so far. Given the move is across the world, I don't have a work visa for the US, and I don't have any direct experience trading US markets I feel like applying directly with banks is just a waste of my time.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might be able to increase my chances of landing a job, or at least an interview? Maybe specific recruiters I should target, or websites that aren't indeed or efinancialcareers?
