UBS offers

I interviewed with UBS in HK for IBD about 2 weeks ago and I still have not received a reply. I emailed HR and they told me that they will get back to me in January, does this mean that they have rejected me. Because that would be like 3 weeks and that is just way too long. I know at interviews they told us they will try to get back to us at the end of December.

asia is a bit slow, be patient. also UBS overall has been slow past year with the HR and disorganized with hiring (some people got offers after 1st round, others didn't hear back, etc.)

From my experience if you moved onto the next round they are pretty good at getting back to you within the week, but this could be an exception.

i think getting back to you around jan sounds about right.

i have a buddy who got invited to ubs hk but had to delay his interview due to final week.

I remember vaguely about his telling me that he will have another scheduled interview(superday) in jan

thanks for your response, this really does calm me a bit. i usually thought that if you don't get a response the next day or something along those lines you are rejected, i guess asia is just a bit different.....

Was that a phone interview that you had? I know a friend of mine who's finished a superday with them in mid-December and got an offer right after. He is a local btw.
