As long as you're not dropping below their GPA requirement that was on the job posting and your offer doesn't include a GPA requirement, you're probably fine. Only circumstance I see it possibly mattering is if all your coursework related to the job was taken during that time frame and you barely passed, but even then you should be fine. If you're seriously worried about it, see if there's any alumni at your employer and ask them about it.
Thanks a lot for the reply. My transcript was checked as part of the recruitment process. Do you think companies usually check again before you start working full time?
If I recall correctly, when I started at my first job out of college, I had to submit my final transcript. That said, I had a terrible fall semester senior year with like a C+ average and multiple course withdrawals (which essentially bumped up my semester GPA) after having been wholly unprepared for the intensity of full time recruitment while also working like 15-20 hours a week. While I had graduated by the time I started working, I didn't finish my second major until a year and a half into the job, and it was totally fine.
Also I have a friend who flat out didn't finish his degree in time, and they let him work part time while finishing it up. While he's in a different field, he was at one of the top firms in his industry which is one of the largest firms in the globe.
So really, don't stress about it, it isn't as big of a deal as you think.
Thank you so much man. I am in the exact same situation as you. Preparing for full time recruiting the whole semester and felt extremely drained. No motivation for academic work and grades are suffering.
