"Unfortunately, this position is no longer being filled" real meaning?
I applied for an SA 2025 internship position at a well-known firm and received this after pretty much being guaranteed I'd make it to the interview stage (at the very least). Does this mean I didn't get selected or that the firm isn't doing the internship anymore?? Any help would be much appreciated.
In this environment, if this is from a major bank, I’d assume with all of the job cuts going on they may have pulled the position and are no longer allocating headcount for it to be filled.
Dam, that's wild. Would it be rude for me to reach out to the recruiter today and ask them? I was pretty close with them, and they guaranteed an interview, so I'm a little confused.
What would you gain from that
I think you have nothing to lose in reaching out to the recruiting. Maybe they’ll help point you to a similar open position.
I just heard back from the recruiter that the team isn't recruiting this year at all and they didn't know why. Guessing the economic environment right now isn't the best.
