Unhappy with current path-masters of accounting student

I am doing a combined masters in accounting with undergraduate finance major at a well respected, fairly prestigious college (not heavily recruited). I am currently interning at a Big 4 doing auditing and I really don’t think this is a good fit for me. What are some other finance fields where a masters in accounting and this internship experience would be valued? High GPA if that matters at all.

Ok, I will do some research into that. I don’t particularly like accounting, I am just decent at it. I fell into getting my Masters when my junior year summer internship was cancelled and I was ahead on credits. I am graduating Dec 2021.

Do you think I need to do networking or do you think I would be fine applying b/c technically I would be overqualified considering they only require a bachelors degree and I will have a masters?

Do everything you can. Networking is part of it.

Have a few friends who went down the Master in Accounting route and ended up in consulting, ib, and other high finance roles. You should have a shot at most positions if you spin your story the right way.
