Urgent advice needed. Go from corp to bank?

Hi, I have an mphil in economics, I speak 3 languages and I have average grades.

Not knowing what Middle-or Back office meant, I accepted a position many years ago that requieres a bachelor. I work at the Middle Office at a large state owned corporation. I do a bit of risk reporting and I analyze the balance sheet. Except from that, I help back office. There is no obvious way to transfer to the Front Office where I am today. Been there for 7 years.

My job is safe there. It is a great place to work with flexible hours, extra days of vacation, home office when we want. There are departments that have people with my academic background too, so maybe I could change and start as a « Business controller» or « Sector analyst». That means letting go of Treasury after 7 years.

I got a job offer. To work at a bank as a Senior Market Risk Analyst. It requires a master!

Will it lead me anywhere?  Should outsourcing worry me? Is it a smart move?
