Using Work Email for Buyside Recruiting?

Is it common practice to conduct buyside recruiting (networking, HH interactions, etc.) through your work email or should you use your personal email in case your bank finds out? At a BB group that's pretty supportive of recruiting, but still don't want to do anything dumb

I mean, is it smart? Maybe not, but I did all my recruiting from my work computer / email.

Lots of HH outreach goes to work email so for me that was a lot easier to not need to switch things to personal email. We also have tons of rules about personal email on our work computers and I wanted to be able to handle HH interactions during the workday, so I did it all from work computer as well.

I had friends who had to sneak personal computers into the office to do coffee chats as well, which is a huge nuisance. I did it all from work laptop like a psycho but it made my life easier.

Lastly on model tests, I have a Mac and also just am comfortable with my work excel, plug ins, etc so did all of that from work computer as well.

Call me crazy but it worked out fine - you really think the compliance guy reading your emails cares if you’re interviewing?
