Vetted Candidate?
Hey guys,
Got a question. I applied online for a research position at a 2nd tier investment bank almost a month ago. I received a signed rejection letter today from the manager of US Research saying that they can not offer me a position at this time, but as a "vetted candidate" they may consider me for other opportunities as the needs arise.
Am I reading too much into this and it's just a typical standard reply they shoot out or do they truly see me as a potential candidate later down the line? And what exactly does "vetted candidate" mean in this situation?
sorry but i highly think that that's a polite/tactful way of declining a candidate...
You are reading too much into it. Unless they actually spoke with you, it is just a nice way of letting you down.
