Was I wrong about non-targets

So originally I was very against all the hate against non targets get mostly because I felt it was an assumption on me since I am a non target. I was told that I was an exception to the rule since I started working in banking and I did not really buy that. However, since I am still down south I feel as though I am starting to buy into that stuff. The amount of people I meet around me who will ask to meet or for a job and then put 0 effort into it is shocking. These people are in no control of there lives, cannot plan anything, and never show up anywhere on time.

I met one person who begged me for a job for an hour, sent him a friend request on LinkedIn and told him I had the hiring managers number just message me his resume and he never did I ran into him again and he begged me for a job again and told me for sure he would do it this time. I feel like I am surrounded by idiots aside from some engineering people I know and some of my co-workers. Strongly considering moving cities over next 12 months.

hmm comparing me calling a post dumb to you calling “these people” stupid. Might be proving me wrong. Maybe you did slip through the cracks.

You are right, it is really the lack of drive that gets me , but get this. I was out with a friend who lives here last week and he showed up 3 and half hours late to work never called his boss or anything. When he got in he explained he needed to sleep in that day but came in once he got up.  He was absolutely shocked when he got fired.
