Went from Big 4 Audit internship to Big 4 Full-time Valuation. Ask me Anything

I know this jump is desirable quite often after suffering through an audit internship. Feel free to ask anything from if you are going through a similar search.

This is true. The due diligence groups are usually experienced hires who have some sort of extensive accounting specialization or background. I should have been more specific in my post, my group is actually called Transaction Services Valuation so there is some pre-deal worked involved along with audit support and others.

I'm from a non-target state school (not for IB, but all Big 4 recruits here). I got a internship this summer in NYC with a Big 4 in their Audit practice through campus recruiting. Was your internship also in NYC and you networked a lot during the summer? Are you doing IB in a BB or Boutique right now? Thanks.

I was in Detroit area for the internship, then networked into a different big 4 firm for valuation in Chicago area. I am doing Transaction Service Valuation right now. Communicate early on that you are interested in interviewing with the Valuation group after this summer, and as long as you perform well, you should have no problem making the switch.
