What does "Pre-University" mean?

I'm filling out this online internship application and they're asking me for:

"Which pre-university education system did you follow?" so I put Swiss

and then they ask:

"Month/Year Completed" Does that mean, when did I finish my last year of high school before going to university?

Definition of Pre-University

Pre-University refers to the education you underwent before you began college. Often times this refers to which country educational system you went through. If you were educated for high school in Switzerland, your pre-university system would be considered Swiss. If you were educated in the USA before going to college, your pre-university education would be American.

This term can also be used to refer to anything that you did before going to college - such as a pre-university internship, college course, or job.
