What internship will help me get a wall street job
I'm currently a freshman at the Wharton School and I'm trying to figure out what I should do with my summer to stand out or make it easier to get a good wall street job after graduation (i-bank, hedge fund, PE, whatever I can get). My GPA sort of sucks (3.14 but I think I should be able to pull that up a bit after this semester). So, basically my options for this summer are to get an internship with a smaller bank back home (bank of oklahoma), get an internship with a fortune 500 natural gas company and work in either the finance department or energy trading department, or take classes to try to improve my GPA and/or get enough credits to graduate in 3 years. What would be the most useful for me later on?
Also, this is my first post in Wall Street Oasis. . .is there another forum I should post this question in?
I would go work for the nat gas company, in trading, if you can get it.
The other bank is small (it's a commercial bank, not an investment bank so it's not relevant for what you want to do).
Don't try to graduate in 3 years, college is fun and entry-level jobs suck. Slaying bitches is way better than slaving away on pitches.
