There’s a lot you can do, it all depends on what you enjoy, and can see yourself doing. You can obviously go corp dev and have a better WLB and can exit there easily from banking or you can look into some out of the box exits but you might enjoy. I myself left banking and went into wealth management and love what I do everyday. I know someone who left banking and went into marketing with no marketing background at all. Also know someone who went into an investor relations role (not out of the box but just came top of mind) at a hedge fund and works 45 hours a week. Sit down and really think about what you enjoy and then see what roles out there can fit that. Dont get caught up on what everyone usually does after banking. Create your own path, the wealth will come if you are good at what you do and make the right moves.
