What to do inbetween gymnasium and highschool?

Hi!

Im having major problems, right now I’m attending my last year at high school in Sweden (18 year old) would you recommend me taking a year between collage and high school. I will then work for the biggest finance law firm for the company or should I go straight in to university and focus on internships. I want to work with investment banking when done with collage. Please give your opinion on this because I’ve spoken with the MD of the Swedish branch of PWC who is suggesting that I should study but my dad working with PE tells me to take a year off. I am not school tired or anything but I’m really torn in half on what to do, please give me suggestions!?

Personally, I’d take the year off. Enjoy yourself, travel, meet other people and cultures, try things out and then continue the grind. The experiences and reset will be unique given you’re so young now. It will be tougher to do once you’re in the grind to do it due to internal / external factors.
