yeah its a 3rd floor walk up and no. I could have gotten a nicer apartment in Murray hill with in-unit laundry. The reason I chose the current is that I really like the neighborhood and proximity to my office.

Yeah it’s not a problem. Just close my door and my roommates have similar jobs so it’s relatively quiet during the work day.

As someone from outside NYC, it’s insane people pay $3K+ and can’t even do their laundry in their apartment. I’m mad about paying $2k/month for an 800sqft 1br/1ba on the top floor of a luxury building in my city. Comes with washer/dryer, gym, and restaurants built in underneath

This is a really good deal. Moving from NYC to a cheaper LCOL area for b-school and my rent is pretty similar to your half. Fml, "hot areas" in the country have gotten closer to NYC rent than ever before.
