when having a superday, do you only need to do well in one interview

So I was wondering, when you have a superday you meet with the different groups of the bank. If you really suck and do poorly with most of them then when you meet with one group and really hit it off, is that all that matters?

If you had 6 interviews and did really poor in 5 of them and blew one of them out of the water, will you get an offer if that group likes you?

It really depends on who interviews you. If your interviewers are from many different groups, you better nail all interviews. I once interviewed with 3 guys from ECM and 5 guys from a coverage group on one day (European BB). Interviews with ECM did not go that well, but the coverage bankers really liked me. Next morning I got a call from the coverage group and spent my summer there. However, you should expect that every single interviewer has a veto when it comes to giving out offers.

Doubt it. There has to be a consensus among interviewers about which candidates to select. It's likely that others hit it off with that group as well. It's not like you have 6 "tries" and as long as you get 1 right you win. That being said, stranger things have happened...

Think about it, when they all meet afterward to discuss you, what will the one group that liked you think when the other 5 groups that disliked you say you were a mess? Think they'd still want to bring you aboard their team?
