Where is the opportunity?

Hey all

Wanted to get a thread going where we could all perhaps talk about the relevant hiring opportunities in the market. For reference, I did a whole lot of things (back office operations ->development->corporate real estate) before starting the MSRE program at NYU Schack. Since then I've spent 8 months in acquisitions and a year at a very active debt/equity brokerage. Obviously with Covid going I've been told there will be no return offer. I was hoping that REPE would be realistic post graduation (December) but at this point who knows.

Who's hiring? What markets should people be looking to break into? What asset classes / industry segments make sense for people to target?

Anecdotally, I've seen a lot of postings/people talking about restructuring gigs but those seem to be less than easy to get...
