Which internship to pick that is most conducive to FT IB Recruiting?

Hi Everyone,

I am currently a junior at a top 10 school and have a question regarding which internship offer I should take in order to have the best shot at FT IBD recruiting in the fall.

What I currently have on the table are:

-Boutique IB Internship in NYC
-Boutique PE Internship in NYC
-Investment Fund Internship in a Frontier Market

I didn't want to name the particular frontier market for privacy's sake, but I am leaning towards that particular option right now. Here is my line of thinking:

There are probably hundreds, if not thousands, of kids out there with Boutique IB/PE internships looking to make a FT move into a BB/EB Investment Bank. If I did the same, I would not be able to differentiate myself, but if I went off the beaten path and did an internship in a Frontier Market, it would at least make my resume seem more interesting, and potentially help me land interviews/make interviews more interesting as well, and make me a more memorable candidate overall. (On a personal note, I am also excited to do something different and explore a different part of the world)

Does my reasoning make sense or is it flawed, and I should just stick with the boutique IB internship?
