I have an internship offer for a decently large bank in a credit/finance role, focused on cash flow, balance sheet analysis. I would be focused on the energy space and would be on the credit team. On the other hand, I have a good connection at an M&A advisory firm. It might sound like a no-brainer to choose this, but the deals they work on are in the $5m-$100m space, and not sure if people would just see this as a business broker as compared to actual M&A/Investment Banking work. Which should I choose to best position for IB next summer?
