Which level investment banker should I reach out to when contacting people for coffee chats?
Associate, analyst, VP, MD? I have a feeling associates are the best.

Analyst or asociate for sure. They’re the most involved in the recruiting process for interns/analysts and most likely to respond to you as well.
If youre recruiting for AN level, then analysts. If you're recruiting for ASO level, then associates. Anyone higher will just direct you to junior team
Agreed with the other comments but will say this. If you are looking at a smaller shop like less than 25 people sometimes VPs will give you the light of day and its good to have a VP recommend you rather than Analyst obviously. But I'd say that's only applicable for smaller boutiques
