Why do you want to work in back office?

Have a interview coming up next week for a fund accountant position.
Can't say I'm really excited about this one but in this economy and my compounding student loan , I'll take whatever I can get.
So, how should I answer the "why do you want to work for this position" question?

Honestly I don't think the firm will know, nor will they care. If you're in Europe especially, you'll be applying online, and the HR won't tell others if you're applying for both FO/BO.

Honestly, just don't do operations, even for an internship. Working at an unheard of place (even a non-finance place) is a better internship. I'm sure you can get an internship doing SOMETHING (unless you have a terrible GPA from a terrible school, but even then you should be able to land something).

If operations is truly a last resort as a summer internship, I'd say you like working in the backbone of the firm to drive value...something about how ops supports every aspect of the bank..exposure to lots of different areas of the bank..learning how a huge investment bank works from the ground up..some bullsh*t like that...
