Do you ever follow up with people you’ve chatted with?
Follow up one week later of the thank you note if they said they’ll do sth and forgot.
People forget all the time as they are busy and you have to keep yourself in front of them.
But yes, a lot of the times, people say they will refer you and connect you and then not respond to multiple emails. It is what it is.
Would you recommend following up twice if they offered to connect you but haven’t responded to the initial follow-up after a couple of weeks?
Yeah, I have done it 3 times a couple of weeks apart because at times they’re in the middle of a few sales or sth.
But yeah, it is funny. I have had people offer to connect or even refer me to the team (without me asking) and then ghost me when I follow up.
Sometimes none of the other bankers want to chat with another student. We’ve been getting so many 2026 SA that responding to everyone and also talking to all referrals would distract from work
