I'm a current freshman at a target school and landed a freshman marketing internship at a Fortune 50 company. I'm trying to target REPE long-term, so I'm unsure if I should continue looking for more finance-related internships or just accept this offer. You are fine. I work at MS/JPM/GS and i worked at an ice cream shop after freshman year. Just get one for next summer and keep finding other creative ways to build resume
Any experience freshman year is good to talk about in interviews. I got an offer for MS/JPM/GS this cycle and worked at a real estate company doing marketing, though also had strong investments exposure. Use this as an opportunity to learn as much as you can.
Also - there’s not many opportunities for finance related internships as a sophomore unless you have family connections. I only got my internship through a friend’s parent
