Worried about delayed written offer
So I went through a couple rounds of phone, video and onsite interviews for a BB associate position (lateral) and received a verbal offer around Christmas when we discussed comp. I was told that it would take a couple days to get the written offer to sign but it has been almost a month. I understand that it was holiday seasons and key ppl are in/out of office but every time i followed up with HR, i was simply told to wait because it is still in pending status. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Should i be worried that the offer will be rescinded? The job id was delisted ever since i accepted the verbal offer. What could be some cause of the delay?
Any insight will be appreciated!
Hey jumpingkangaroo, I swear if I had a silver banana for every lonely thread I posted too I'd be richer than @compbanker ...
You're welcome.
Bump
Typical reasons for delays,
It's unlikely your position has been eliminated since they would let you know if that were the case (and if not, I wouldn't ever want to work at a firm which rescinds offers without notice)
Thanks a lot for the reply. I agree with your points, fingers crossed
Also experiencing delays with offer letter.
Same bro. Did you end up getting the written offer? i have been waiting for at least a month now.
So I’ve been in this situation twice. One time I kept reaching out and it eventually faded without receiving anything. The other took about 2 month to receive a offer. Both were very frustrating and for lateral positions. I don’t know what it is about that.
