Would it okay to mention you talked to another analyst when cold emailing?
Something like:
I was recently was able to talk to Jim Bob who is in the consumer retail which I saw you were also a part of.....
Is this bad practice?
Usually you should end each coffee chat with ‘do you have any recs on anyone else I should talk to’, and then talk to that person they recommend. I would reach out to Jim Bob over email asking if there’s anyone else, and then reach out to those ppl
