Doesnt it depend on the group itself?
You should try to find a group that does both in house to get the most well rounded skill set for your two years. Nobody likes a excel monkey who doesn’t know how to put a period at the end of a sentence or a Henry David Thoreau who can’t make a sensitivity table to save his life.
And by both I mean product (M&A / Capital Markets) and coverage
