Zoom or Phone Dial for Networking Calls?

Would you recommend phone call or zoom? I can see how Zoom would allow you to form more of a connection and leave a more significant impression, but at the same time I see how phone calls would be better for convenience.

I think it would depend on the person that you're going to be speaking with.

If it's someone with little to no time, a phone call is most likely the best approach, purely based on convenience. Otherwise, Zoom is not a bad idea and, as you say, could leave a more significant impression.

Gauging what the other person wants/doesn't want will be key here.

I usually offer the option for both and see whichever they prefer.

I think the consensus is that phone call is most common, but I do appreciate when I can get on a Zoom call.
