NYU vs. NYU Stern

Hi, My name is Lawrence and I am an incoming Freshman into Baruch College. Baruch isn't one of the target recruiting schools for the top investment banks, I know. I am now trying to figure the best path for myself from here on. I am ready to work insanely hard this year at Baruch and then hopefully transfer into NYU Stern or possibly an Ivy. On every post I see about target schools I always see NYU, so here's my question: Do these investment banks only recruit from NYU stern or all of NYU? As I understand, NYU Stern is much more selective than just the regular economics programs at NYU. So of course these banks favor Stern more, but how much more? And does NYU (not stern) attract these investment banks more than Baruch? I am really trying to figure out my best course of action here.
Thanks

All of NYU has access to the same recruiting tools / job posts / resources that NYU Stern has. There is no separate recruiting process just for Stern students. The only downside is that NYU students will have to work a little harder to get on the banks radar just because there are more Stern Alumni out there. But many NYU (not Stern) grab spots on the street every year so they are not really all that disadvantaged. As long as you get a high GPA and a good internships and can interview well you'll be fine.

NYU Stern is extremely difficult to transfer into because of it's high retention rate. Do NYU econ if you want NYU, maybe to distinguish yourself double major in econ and mathematics although you'll risk your gpa. Otherwise simply major in econ and do a ton of internships preferably in IB. Just make sure to know why you want to do IB, and take one of the financial modeling online courses out there.
