A2A Comp?

I’m at a BB (not in IB) recently made A2A but I’m really underwhelmed with the comp. $10k base increase, bonus was much lower than last year, and no promotion bonus.

Should I expect another pay bump at YE? Wondering if I should just ship and get a higher paying role elsewhere…

What group are you in? That is pretty typical for roles outside of IB. IB is a big hurrah if you stay for A2A, but anywhere else it's a normal thing to A2A and it's basically expected you'd stay on for associate. Unless you materially change roles, comp is pretty standard across BBs for a given role. You'll likely get a small stub bonus at YE to get you onto a YE bonus cycle, but otherwise I think that's it

Bonus is unfortunate timing but can't be too surprised - 2021 was a record year for banks and they are tightening their belts quite a bit now
