Above or below ground diamond? Thoughts
Looking into engagement rings. Just got one priced at a family friend’s shop
2ct F VVS2 for $6,000-7,000 lab grown That same diamond mined would be roughly 14-15k
They said atomically they are the exact same and the main reason they are different price is the overhead required to mine a diamond vs in a lab.
Anyone have any insight? At first glance it seems like I would be getting a beautiful diamond for a fantastic price.
