Video ads too
Some ads are overlapping content
Should be fixed before Monday, sorry about that
This is fucking atrocious
uBlock Origin. Cure for all your ails in that matter.
Imagine not using an ad blocker. How do people live...
chief monkey needs to eat! but yes - agree with Mr. Agree to Disagree, get uBlock Origin
Not saying head monkey doesn't need to eat or get paid, just that some of these out of control ads can wear on someone. And that's on Google/AWS/etc and not just WSO. Tangent: watching a Youtube video and close to three minutes of the ten minute video are ad callouts?
Some ads just go right over the content
Still or that fixed now?
It's fixed now - thanks Patrick.
Awful. Makes the site impossible to navigate and look low-quality.
To be clear, not opposed to ads - I don't mind non-pop up, stationary ads, but the ones that overlap content, show up in the right corner that need to be Xed out, and are moving around are awful. Feels spammy.
Sorry, messed up the rollout, fixing asap
There is a chance nobody intended for this to be implemented like that.
Glad it's not just me; thought I picked up malware or something.
First they prohibit me from posting new off-topic forums (because of my MS/Banana ratio), now this?!
tanks the usability. Well down the path to enshittification
Uncomfortable in dark mode at night…. jarring ads /clicking things … going to decrease engagement.
Chief monkey is a sellout
Ah is this why there are massive gaps in my feed now? I have adblocker so not seeing the ads, only the empty space.
Surely Patrick can hire better SWE in today's job market for a cheap price no?
I'm being taunted by preworkouts, girls, and sunglasses
hahahahahaha what is this
The ad targeting is pretty spot on for you.
Not to be dramatic but this is the beginning of the end
It is. Coupled with what feels like a bunch of unhelpful posts.
Night mode on mobile has been fucked up for like two weeks now. Why is half my screen outlined in white? That’s the opposite of dark
Ay someone make a new site
