Advice from Ladies needed - Valentine's Day

I'm looking to plan a valentine's day for my girlfriend of about 3 years, and I wanted to get some advice from you ladies as I think you're in the best position to know what would work best in the general sense of things.

The last 2 valentine's we went to nice restaurants and either went to the cinema or a profited at home, but this time I feel like restaurants are overpriced and not worth the quality, and I'm also currently between 2 jobs so trying to be financially wise.

What do you ladies like in terms of activities or what dates you had that impressed you the most?

Don’t talk about how overpriced Valentine’s Day is to your GF. You may think it’s overhyped, but she may not. Telling her that Valentine’s Day is expensive is not sexy. No one wants to hear that you are questioning whether she is worth splurging for. Just do what you feel that you can financially manage. Do something at home (dinner, spa night etc.) and write her a nice card. All you have to do is show that you care and you thought about her.
