Advice on a girl

Ok, so there is this girl I really like. We both go to the same University and live in the same dorm in Spain. We both get on really well with each other since we met. We go together to a volunteering activity and see her almost every day.

The thing is I think she didn’t like me at first but lately we’ve been really well together so I hope you can make me figure it out.

Every Wednesday we go on a ride for 50 minutes to go to volunteering and we talk about the uni, about us and then just stupid little things that makes us laugh. A few times she has leaned on my shoulder. Also, one night we were coming back to the dorm from a night club and she was hugging for like twenty minutes while walking.

Last Friday I helped her with a project and then I stayed in her bedroom until 3 am. Nothing happened, we ordered a pizza and just talked casually.

The thing is I feel there is a connection between us. She laughs a lot when I’m with her, she calls me “stupid” and blushes when I make a joke about her, she wants to do future things with me like learning a foreign language… This are so far the good signs I get, but I’m not sure if I have a chance.

First time I met her she mentioned she doesn’t want a relationship. Also, that night I ordered the pizza but next day she sent me the money and paid for the entire dinner thanking me helping her with the project. Another thing is that we don’t usually chat on the phone.

My thoughts are a mess right now and I hope you can clear my mind a bit. Thank you all in advance!

First time I met her she mentioned she doesn't want a relationship.

What did she mean by this?  There are two ways this goes

1. She only wants hookups or friends with benefits

2. She wants to take things slow and won't date until she's very close with you

I was in a similar situation back in college. This girl and I were close - I definitely liked her. We studied together, ate together 1-2 meals per day, talked on MSN (insert obligatory age comment) when we weren’t in person, etc. People asked if we were dating, and I always told em to fuck off. I had a sense that she liked me (stayed overnight at dorm room and binged some tv shows together). There is a two part explanation as to why I didn’t ask her out. 1) she was my indirect report in a student organization that discouraged dating and 2) I was a fucking chicken. Years later, she told me she was interested at the time. Dude, this is the worst way to find out a girl liked you. Don’t be me. May the gods of balls and BSD be with you.

Thank you all for your responses.

I know that there is something that she likes about me, but it is not that obvious to say to me that she would like to be in a relationship with me. Anyway, I guess I'll have to ask her to do something at the weekend, like ice skating or dinner, for instance. Then, if she says yes I'll have the answer and if not at least I have tried. It's not to be friendzoned what I'm most afraid of (which would also be a bad result) it's really to lose the friendship we have just because she wants to get distant from me. I think asking her straight to date me or telling her what I feel about her (that I suppose may be obvious to her) would be far riskier than asking her to go do something and dinner. But yes, there is no return on this life that comes without a risk.

Though the pizza trick seems a great advice, I'll let other people try it first.

Wish me the best!
