Advice on Non-Retained Headhunters
Recently had a headhunter reach out for an introductory call. They’re not retained on any relevant mandates but are well connected in my niche industry. We agreed they would catch up with some of their contacts at a few firms to see if there’s any interest in someone with my background.
Is this normal or is it a bad idea to have headhunter reaching out unsolicited? They seem pretty well connected and I’m not worried about my employer finding out.
