anyone else unable to concentrate at work? stimulation addiction?

I find myself unable to concentrate well at work. Anyone else have the same problem?

I find myself logging in to Youtube, listening to music, etc. but being extremely unproductive. This has been a multi-year problem.

Possibly it's because I'm not terribly interested in finance, or need to change industries, or something else. I've recently watched a Youtube video (

) that discusses how malleable the brain can be, and how Internet usage can degrade concentration ability.

But I had a lot of trouble concentrating even before Internet.

I've also tried to use PED (performance enhancing drugs) like Modafinil, Abilify and Adderal. Modafinil had no effect. Adderal was very helpful but gave me other troubles.
Abilify was a disaster.

I'm also particularly sensitive to sound and unable to concentrate around office chatter, hence I listen to music, but even that is a problematic solution.

I'm keen to know what experiences you guys have had, and what solutions you've found. Any PEDs work?
Any good tricks/tips?

Maybe I'm just not suited to desk work.
