Apology

Everything I've written here is meaningless, and if it has corrupted you towards greed, I apologize. Wall Street has corrupted my mind, it gave me an addiction to money, and this has caused me to say harmful things that mislead people.

I will work hard to feed my people, but I will not allow it to overtake my soul. I joined Wall Street with the secret intention of dismantling global capitalism from the very center. I realize now that human liberation will come from the works of everyday people, from the ground up.

I pledge to maintain a simple life, and to use whatever God gives to help others and to stand up for the poor. Please do not take the posts I've written here as anything other than ego and self-gratification. Do not be misled by egos such as mine.

The only one worthy of following is the Lord, and He grants power, wisdom, happiness, and peace to all who seek Him. In scripture, He is close to the poor and crushes the oppressor, and in the unending passage of His grace, the oppressor will be crushed.

Do not be misled by these material temptations, it will only bring you grief and ruin. Work hard and give what you don't need to others, and your heart will overflow. Lower yourself before others, as a humble servant, and the Lord will raise you above the mightiest and wealthiest men of the world.

To my Christian brothers and sisters reading this, do not be misled by the materialism that is rotting our homeland from the inside-out. To my Muslim brothers and sisters reading this, please forgive the transgressions of my ego. To my Jewish brothers and sisters reading this, thank you for preserving the Word and the prophecy of my savior. To my Hindu brothers and sisters reading this, there is room for you in America. For all other followers of the Lord, thank you for your guidance.

Lastly, to my brothers and sisters who do not know the Lord, materialism is mental slavery. It enslaves both rich and poor, and in finding the truth you will be emancipated. The truth is love. God is love. This is what is written, that is not my own wisdom, and this is how we define the Lord. If you love one another, the Lord abides in you. So love one another.

God bless all you bankers. The Lord did not shun you, He made a point to call Matthew and others like him to grace. Even if the world may hate you, as many others are hated, the Lord will guide us all towards peace and redemption. Give your wealth to the poor, live in deep humility and selfless work, avoid the temptations of the flesh, and He will lift you as an example of righteousness as a light unto the world.
