Are you into Designer Clothes?

Outside or work, are you guys interested in street wear? I mean Off White, Kith, Rick Owens, FOG etc… Perhaps some jewerly as well?

Or do you stick with the "conservative style" ? What do you typically wear when you're not working?

Definitely rocking some streetwear outside the office but trending towards a streetwear/business casual fusion look as I get older. Especially like Japanese brands rn like Cav Empt, Kapital, Y3, Mastermind, Undercover, some non flashy Bape, Issey Miyake, Junya Watanabe etc. I feel like it is more mature streetwear than just wearing all these branded logo shit to flex. Getting a bit too old to be a walking billboard and care more about quality, look, and the entire ensemble of the fit rather than just branding. I’ll still rock a pair of Js tho.

Not as much. I got a 22k Cuban gold chain and pendant set which is about 80g total while in Dubai. Wasn't cheap but I like it a lot. If it works with my fit and I am not going somewhere where it would get snatched Ill put it on. Also got a Breitling Navitimer watch but that's for the office (occasionally) or formal events. I just wear an Apple Watch day to day. Not really into rings or silver jewelry/streetwear jewelry (think Vivienne Westwood, Chrome Hearts) much, looks tacky imo.

How do you like Kapital? I like 'expensive' clothes, but I'm a very subtle guy. I hate logos and flashy stuff, so it looks like we're in the same department. I've had my eye on this P-Yakke Coat for a little bit now. I found some good sales on SSENSE and 6PM that bring the price tag (USD) down from around $500 to $350, and REALLY like the style. Just wondering how the material holds up over time (in general), as I'll always be Team Function > Team Aesthetic.

Curious to know your thoughts. Doesn't have to be this piece in particular, but rather Kapital as a whole. Thanks!

no I just wear normal shit lol - although I do have some band merch that is dope and I like to buy that sometimes

Same. Band merch, goofy stuff clike "Han shot first" shirts, hockey sweaters, hoodies, etc.

I dress like an upper middle class 40 year old white dad. When it’s cold I dress like a lumberjack.

Or, when it’s hot and I’m not working, I’ve got a Hawaiian shirt half buttoned, PFG shorts, and flip flops. I wear this shit anytime, anywhere.

I am very into buying clothes but not high end designer options.  I buy my clothes mostly from Banana Republic and Gap and some Old Navy for jeans.  At work, I wear jeans, or khakis along with a button down shirt or polo.  On weekends, I wear jeans/khakis and a t shirt

Finally a thread right up my alley...

None of that cringe lulu, patagonia, common projects, etc shit.

I be rocking Chrome Hearts (shirts and hoodies), Amiri (jeans mainly but good shirts and tops too), Vetements, Bape, Fear of God for the basics, Retro AJ1s (staple piece), Rick Owens (mainly pants), Off-white, LV belts and plenty of jewelry.

Idk why dudes in their 20s wanna dress like their daddys when they have their whole life ahead of them to dress like that. Enjoy the youth while you can but tbh I can see myself wearing these till im like 40 idgaf I grew up always wanting these things and will grind for it rather than pay for bs ion care about like golf, sport tickets, professional clothing, watches.

Pretty much if someone saw me in the street I'd say a 0% chance they would guess this profession

exact same mentality. i still have the classic polo + lulu + vessis/margielas fit for company gatherings. but if I am not with coworkers I like to rock represent/fog/gallery dept/rhode for top, amiri/balmain/carhartt for bottoms with some classics Js or 550s or 2002r. My favorite fit right now is def a represent blank hoodie + my north face collab puffer + clean pair of cargos i copped at zara + travis af1. I feel like you cant really dress like that once you get older so its a good time to rock these fits.

What type? Watches/bracelets yes. I wear a cross pendant around my neck. Not into rings

I have two pairs of jeans I think I bought around 7 years ago, and a bunch of t shirts from breweries and ski resorts. I wear irregular sweaters from TJ Maxx in the winter. I have like two pairs of sneakers that I replace once they hit 400 miles of use.

I don't skimp on outdoor gear, though. Anything that stands between me and the elements needs to function well.

yeah I learned quickly through snowboarding that functional dry apparel is worth it even if it is a few hundred more.

You boys are some clowns for dropping $250 on a t-shirt at age 24. IDC how rich I get, I'm still rocking Gap, J. Crew and Asics all day

Ngl the obnoxiously branded stuff is not cool anymore and I argue should have never been cool

Gen Z has been doing it well with the focus on style >>> brand where half of their wardrobe is thrifted and the other half is handed down by their parents

Also personally love jewelry (earrings, rings, necklaces, etc.) but that is a younger generation thing as well

No - Eddie Bauer, Peter millar are my go to so I can approach women in nyc and they know I’m a good person in a smoothie shop🥤strawberry banana please
