Best lightweight keyboard for travel

My firm doesn't give us a laptop since we have desktops at the office. I use a Mac because I prefer it for personal use, and then have an external keyboard at home that lets me use all the typical Excel shortcuts when I'm WFH. I need an external keyboard that is lightweight and fits in my work bag for times when I'm working outside of work/home. Does anyone have any recs?

I'm in an Infra related group so our models are very heavy, and our group does all our own modelling, so the keyboard needs to be as seamless to use as possible.

Lofree Flow or Lofree Flow Lite. Fantastic, orgasmic-sounding/feeling keyboard with keys for both windows and mac. It is the best "low-profile" and lightweight mechanical keyboard money can buy and is worth the buck

For a lightweight and travel-friendly keyboard that works seamlessly with Excel shortcuts, here are some recommendations based on WSO discussions and user preferences:

  1. Logitech K380

    • Compact, lightweight, and highly portable.
    • Compatible with both Mac and Windows, making it versatile for your setup.
    • Bluetooth connectivity eliminates the need for cables, and it fits easily in a work bag.
  2. Keychron K3

    • Ultra-slim mechanical keyboard with low-profile switches.
    • Offers a tactile typing experience while being lightweight and portable.
    • Compatible with Mac layouts and supports Excel shortcuts effectively.
  3. Microsoft Universal Foldable Keyboard

    • Extremely lightweight and foldable, perfect for travel.
    • Works with multiple devices and has a compact design.
    • While not mechanical, it’s a great option for portability.
  4. Apple Magic Keyboard

    • Sleek, lightweight, and designed specifically for Mac users.
    • Seamless integration with macOS and supports all Excel shortcuts.
    • Rechargeable battery with long life.
  5. Anne Pro 2

    • Compact 60% mechanical keyboard, great for portability.
    • Bluetooth-enabled and customizable for Excel shortcuts.
    • Offers a mechanical feel while being travel-friendly.

For your Infra-related heavy modeling needs, the Keychron K3 or Anne Pro 2 might be the best fit due to their mechanical options and portability. If you prioritize ultra-lightweight and compact designs, the Logitech K380 or Microsoft Universal Foldable Keyboard are excellent choices.
