I have Reddit Pics on my phone and find it entertaining and informative sometimes.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

Reddit is pretty trash these days, they got rid of most funny subreddits to appeal to advertisers. Finance doesn't have a huge community there (/r/wsb is alright during normal times, but it'll be a little while before things settle down there), the sports subreddits are ok (but /sp/ is a lot funnier), for news /r/anime_titties is ok but the mainstream ones are "cultivated" if you know what I mean.

Edit: Also, /r/geopolitics is a decent read but not super active
