that's a lot of money for a backpack!

Yeah it should last 20 years

Was going to same this is what I got for my bday, it's great. I had always gone Briggs and Riley and my dad suggested this. He has had a Tumi for 10 years with 3-5 international trips and flights a year and probably 15-25 domestic a year. It's great in partial retirement now that he doesn't want to carry a briefcase.

I think you can shop around, seen them as low as $540, $595 is the retail price. The savings aren't much but you can get overnight shipping lol.

Tumi is rough nowadays. I like Briggs & Riley due to the excellent lifetime warranty.

I think Tumi has a lifetime warranty too.

I have (way too many) pieces from both brands. Briggs & Riley feels more like a workhorse brand that I don’t mind airport baggage handlers throwing around. Tumi feels higher quality in comparison.

I don't like how recognizable Tumi is. It's a big problem if you're travelling to shitty countries.

Thanks man yeah staying in the south for the most part, maybe a 2026 NYC Summer MBA Internship, study abroad in Spain in 2027 and then am interested in going back to NYC or possibly SoCal summer of 2027.
