Never gonna happen. Student loans are securitized and are one of the only forms of collateral that thanks to the government has 0 default risk. The government will not be allowed to wipe that slate clean.

I disagree. I think Biden is at the end of his career and will face 0 repercussions for eliminating $10k. I cannot say for certain, but I feel decently confident that the Democrats and Biden will cancel some amount of student debt closer to either the 2022 midterms or the 2024 general election.

At the end of the day, when someone goes to the polls, their main thought is "how has this president bettered my life?" I think the party will strongly consider canceling some amount of debt near an election as a nuclear option against the GOP to make people think "well they cancelled $10k of my debt" at the polls.
