Not firsthand experience, but I have well over a dozen of friends/ classmates who have interned at Big 4 (mostly PwC and EY). Said it was super useful, really interesting, decent pay at around $20-22 an hour. Not too difficult of an experience either. Great experience to network with people and get full time job offers. I can think of 6 off the top of my head who currently work at PwC or EY.

They spoke about it like it was good and fun. Mostly positive experience. Isn't like how summer analysts worry about their GS internship and find it stressful. Big 4 summer interns seem to enjoy it from what my friends tell me. Not exactly sure about day to day, but I think PwC has some rotation program so you're exposed to their different departments (tax, audit, etc).
