Big CEOs and their safety
I wonder if CEOs and other Wall Street big shots walk around with body guards. This is not something I can picture. I mean, it's not like everyone on the street recognizes them, but there's always a chance someone who sees them in the newspaper or other media gets an idea of kidnapping and getting a ransom. Just curious.
Eddie Lampert got kidnapped once, he talked his ransom down from millions to like 30k. LOL
Heard he, Falcone, and a few others run around with bodyguards. Hmm, just realized the networking potential here...
I think its more so when they travel to particular areas....like when a partner I know goes to India, he has bodyguards. Same with Russia and a few other countries.

CEO's of major companies are provided with home security allowances, but it would be pretty rare to see a "body guard". I've seen some rent-a-cops asleep in the driveway in the middle of the afternoon (gone at night..ha) but that's the extent of their participation.
The only people with actual body guards are those douchy enough to feel that important (rappers) and/or those who have an ass load of personal wealth + a big name. Forbes 400 types. I know Jerry Jones and Bob McNair (Texans owner) have a single guy with them in public usually.
Large company execs, even a few rungs below C-level, will generally have security provided when abroad.

we are at a football game and bunch of drunk traders in a suite paid for by a broker.. its getting out of hand and guess who is sitting in suite next to us... jerry jones.. we start yelling and he comes over and was pretty cool... he was a nice guy and pissed his team was losing... and he did have two big ass guys in suits outside the suite watching the door...
his name is roosevelt riley and he used to play for the harlem globetrotters...this is not a joke.

A guy from my highschool was the son of a pretty famous guy. This kid has 9 cars as his personal envoy and a number of bodyguards from brazil/mexico/venezuela/haiti.
His house parties were amazing though.
Many big shots and their families are insured and the policies include all the costs associated with a kidnapping, if them or their family members travel to Central/South America or Africa for example, they will get body guards as insurance companies seek to reduce the risk of them being kidnapped.
