Bikes?
I figure that since it's getting warm we should talk about the bikes we ride.
I'm about to pull the 99 Cannondale F1000 and maybe a 2001 R2000 out from the parents. If I'm feeling lucky the 1984 Pinarello Campione Del Mundo will come out to with it's Record 50 AE Groupo.

It's not a NYC bike, but I also have the most redic bike ever. 2000 Super V 700 - Last year of the Super V, first year of the Lefty.
Ciara
Fast, but I'm a vintage guy. Steel is still real, BTW. I'll have to head back to Jersey and get real photos. We do SRAM and route the brake wires under the tape.
My steel frame bike:
"Brenda"
We can go crazy if needed everything about the Super V lefty is wrong
very nice
very nice setup
Not mine, I have a XTR derailer, and a Thompson seat post. (angled) also Shimano 737s.
Streamlined carbon frame.... Niceeeee
Looks very competitive
For some reason I can't do PMs. Isiah (or anybody) I have a group that does the 5 Boro Bike tour every year. Half the time we make it the 6 boro heading up Weehawken and JC instead of the mess that is the Ferry. You're welcome to join.
I'd be down to join next time I'm up that way.
It's a one day thing, but we can loop Manhattan any time
Do the diehard roadies still prefer kevlar Gatorskin tires or are there better options these days?
Also... Saved your comment . If I do a 5 Boro Tour in the next year or so maybe we can ride the line together.
Im hoping to do that and maybe work myself into shape for the NYS Century ride (100 miler) by next year.
GP5000s are my favorites. Gatorskins are so slow.
Trek Al Domaine, bought in the fall
Nice
Nice colorway. Im so glad disc brakes finally traversed into the road bike realm. That was the only thing holding me back from ever firing the gun on a dedicated roadie. Make sure to clean the pads with dish soap/ degreaser any time they squeak or howl and the pads and routers will thank you later down the line
Also hope you ditched the Trek Bontrager rims... or got a spare from a better brand for when they inevitably fall apart.
Have several but recent favorite is this Standert I had built last year
sick
How tall are you - 6'4"?
5' 10" here, I inherited my dad's small bike long stem thing from his days racing on the boards. If we want crazy I can pull the 1967 Schwinn Paramount track bike.
Dt Swiss lookin sexiii with three i's.
Thanks for reminding me to get new rims before spring heats up
I have a bike as well (think Specialized/Colnago/Schwinn)
My 78 year old father can still do a track stand BTW.
Bumped for visibility
Also... Full suspension mountain bikes or bust.
2015 Trek Fuel Ex 9.8 X01 in Crimson Smoke
Bikes in storage otherwise I'd send a nude of it
It's cute. Not as crazy as my Super V/Lefty, but every bike has a purpose. road bikes don't have suspension for a reason, and my hardtail is 22lbs because it's simple.
I do love the lefty cannondales. They really turn heads and save weight at that. Wouldve gotten one of them or a Specialized (better colorways) but I got an offer I couldnt refuse for any Trek I wanted from the local bike shop I worked at. Dont ever let her go, Jack.
Here's Dad with the Schwinn Paramount. I only road it on Texlertown. Kissena needed the mountain bikes

WTF are things being so crazy
Nice ride. Those old Schwinns really hold their value these days. I used to frequent my local bike shop and the only old bikes people would care to fix up were old Schwinns for the nostalgia factor.
dad on the boards in Newark
