Bloomberg is crap
For all the brilliant people it employs and for the ridiculously exp subscription charges they really can't get a better UIUX on the Terminal huh. I mean other than to look pretentiously complicated and intelligent there's really no other reason why they couldn't make life easier for users. Their news outlet is great tho.
They don't even standardize data fields across different security types... tell me why i can get hourly price snapshots for commodity futures but not equity futures...
Legacy user base won't allow them to change interface, so they're stuck between a rock and a hard place institutionally with rolling out a new interface. Came from my BBG rep - something I've thought about too.
true that. probably a NIGHTMARE to implement and teach their customer base. which is basically close to the entire industry.
