Boycott Patagonia?

Just came across this video on tiktok. A patagonia employee got "voluntarily resigned" by HR after having an accident and was bedridden. Long story short, he is on the brink of being homeless.

What happened to this man was terrible. As people in finance, patagonia is such a stereotypical thing and we might need to reconsider.

That is unbelievable. I'm already in the process of burning my patagonia vests. We need to switch to Arc'teryx ASAP.

Nobody rational is about to boycott an iconic brand like Patagonia because of some random clip you found on TikTok that offers 0 context or proof backing it up. Even if the worst possible interpretation were true the brand would withstand it easily because nobody would align whatever some HR Becky or shift manager does with the broader company. I can go on there right now and say anything, and short of proof that the CEO likes eating puppies and beating workers with wire hangers during his smoke breaks, and nobody is going to give a shit.

I agree with this - he didn't even post a link or anything. Why would I part with my beloved Patagonia vest that I've had before it was even popular.....

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
