Broke my arm am I done for

Was in a boat on the fourth yesterday and had no idea how choppy that shit can get, we hit a wave and I got kinda thrown to the deck and broke my right arm. Really fun way to spend your fourth of July as you can imagine. Then I realized I’m not going to be able to type. Feel like this is going to absolutely sewer me at work. My coworkers are chill but not chill like that and we are kinda understaffed, feel like they’ll want me to work through it. Not sure how I break this to them either. I think my VP will hang me out to dry to MD with some snarky comment. Is there a way to work around this??
