Crazy what NYC has become especially the metro/MTA. Wish my firm would provide even more wfh flexibility because it feels like Gotham city in this bitch.

I'm not really sure why a mass shooting proves NYC is dangerous?  Literally two days prior there was a mass shooting in Cedar Rapids, Iowa... where was the post about that?  Between March 19 and April 3 there were three mass shootings in Dallas that injured or killed at least ten people.  No one seems to be concerned about those

Not exactly happy to see a mass shooting, but this is the 11th shooting in 2022 alone in which there were double digit casualties.  Not sure why it means NYC is all of a sudden Somalia and Dallas is a utopian conservative wonderland (though I guess living life like Yosemite Sam is a conservative paradise).  NYC is a huge urban area; parts of it are unsafe.  Anyone telling you that it's meaningfully less safe than almost any other urban area is probably getting their "news" from an entertainment/conspiracy theory network like Fox or OANN
