Caught relaxed vibing to music by my MD
The "glory moments". This is a term that I have created for those short moments of around 5 minutes where you want to chill after working hard on a specific task (loved them during the uni days, used them a lot when studying).
To put you in context, I am one of those guys who enjoy listening to music while working, as it helps me keep a good productivity and attitude. To be more precise, I tend to use Soundcloud as it has some good playlists with great remixes.
After finishing a project which had taken some long time, I decided to start a glory moment. Kept the music flowing and relaxed on my chair looking to the birds through the window. Tiësto - Adagio for Strings was playing. Oldie, but gold.
After this one, a new random song from that playlist whose first seconds I did not recognize (heard some sort of wind noises) started playing. Then, right at the moment the song started playing I heard some kind of voice. I turned on my back: our MD, who wanted my help for something.
Then looked back instantly for a second on my screen. Song playing: Rihanna - Only Girl in The World.
Have I given a bad image of myself? Due to the mask I cannot tell at all, but pretty sure the MD was about to start laughing lol.

Well that’s not so bad, just a harmless moment and he’ll probably make fun of you for it, take it in stride. At least you’re not an “Arby’s boy” that’s really a sticky situation to be in.

Nah, as an intern, I picked up a networking call from an MD but didn’t turn off my music in time (forgot what device it was coming from). We just had a laugh about it and he thought it was cool that I used music as method of keeping me more productive.
(Btw genre was rap about gangs etc could’ve gone upside down quite quickly)
Wait, so you’re asking if your MD thinks less of you because of your ostensible taste in music? Only Girl is a banger; I’m surprised he didn’t promote you on the spot.

I'm also worried about this - joined a call listening to loud Kpop, didn't realize I wasn't muted. It was playing for a good 20 or 30 seconds
